Founder and owner, Alex Fangman, is a third-generation mason; he grew up in the world of brick, block and stone masonry. His grandfather and father have dedicated their working lives to the trade, and it seemed like only a matter of time before Alex would, too.

Although Alex had been around masonry his whole life, he began truly learning the trade in 2012 as a laborer and apprentice under the foremen and brick layers at Jeff MacTaggart Masonry (JM2).

In 2016, Alex began doing small projects on the side and it didn’t take him long to realize there was a huge need for masonry repair and restoration: to keep the old and historic characteristics of masonry alive!

In early 2018, Alex decided to officially start his own company and began building Fangman Masonry, first focusing on small residential projects and repairs. He has since expanded the company into working on larger residential projects, and collaborating with General Contractors to complete various commercial masonry projects as well.

At Fangman Masonry, it’s our mission to build communities up and strengthen the trade by maintaining a high standard of integrity and craftsmanship. We don’t see masonry as just a job to be done, rather, as a way to construct a long-lasting legacy to be enjoyed for many generations to come.

  • Integrity is the foundation of Fangman Masonry. By setting a high standard in both our personal and professional lives, we inevitably build a better community for those around us. If a mistake is made, instead of trying to pass the blame, we own up to it. If we say we will do something or say we will be there, we move mountains to keep our word.

  • Craftsmanship is the difference between something that lasts and something that doesn’t. When you choose brick, block, or stone, not only are you choosing beauty, but you are choosing longevity. When you look around at many of the old buildings that are still standing, what you see is the epitome of hard work, skill, determination, and knowledge: craftsmanship. At Fangman Masonry, we work hard every day to perfect our craft to bring you not only something that will be eye-catching, but a product that will last, as well.

  • It’s what we leave behind that we are remembered by. Some say that all we are is a dash between two dates, and though that may be true, at Fangman Masonry we plan on leaving a little more than just a dash behind. It’s our goal to carry on and pass along one of the oldest trades known, along with our family’s legacy of leadership, drive, and perseverance.
